Ooooooh, it's lovely here!

Can I be first to post even though I have absolutely nothing to say?

Thanks, file.

no worries offsid, please walk around and enjoy the exhibits, sorry there's only one so far, still won't take long...

i love that quantum facker image, i really do. :)

why don't you put the thinker one up as well?

Anonymous said...

Nice here innit? Uncluttered.

Got to honest and say I'm not crazy about the F'ACK genre, partly because of the FCUK logo which I'm heartily sick of and which is basically the same joke, but mostly because the site isn't called Frustrated Hacks, it's called Pseuds'Corner. Of course, it was me that started it by worrying about the copyright on the PC name...

Could we have a Quantum Pseud one?

marcela, zeph, bien venue

I have to be honest; I took a pic of Antony Gormleys' 'Quantum Cloud' and I fizzed it a bit and added the text, the amazing artist is Gormley, I am just a plain old t-shirt design suggester

I agree a bit with zeph, after I'd got over the schoolboy thrill of using f'ack willy nilly, I thought of Quantum Pseuds and just Pseuds', I'll knock them up and hang them just to cover the walls a bit!

yours are in the post right?

Nice one file. Thanks for setting this spot up. I got very confused with not just the multiple email thing but also where in the main corner the T-shirt discussions were going on. I'm sure it was more than one place, but I have a small mind and am easily confused.
Hope to have something to send you early next week.

Graphic design is not my strong point! I did one very simple logo, which I sent to Nesta.

At the moment I really like Guitou's use of the web-page heading and he's doing a new version of that.

But I like the Gormley person too.

mimi,

it might help to spread things out on the table especially if we want to sumit, discuss, vote or decide on things as a group

looking forward to hanging your art as I am zephs, Gormley person is right

I'm hampered by having to do everything on screen only as currently have no printer (curses).
Not sure if this is the right thread (so will post on other as well) but has anyone else noticed how often psueds is written rather than pseuds? I've done it loads of times and noticed others too. Whether the others do it in a deep and ironical way (or taking the piss out of my typos) I don't know, but I find it's just the natural way for my fingers to type the word.
I throw that out for thoughts.

And as there is a Gormley theme, maybe we should do an Angel of the Pseuds? Couldn't some clever bod adapt that into a T-shirt design?

Anonymous said...

And as if you hadn't heard enough from me already - I don't think you've taken the cleavage issue on board!
Nice try guitou, but, no.

file said...

mimi,

am thinking feverishly of your cleavage, but I don't know how to address it?

file: Elle McPherson, Hello Boys, is probably enough, but I would like for us all to take this enterprise seriously and set out some frame of reference for moving this project on. Nesta has given a deadline of 31 May for all designs to be in. What do we do after that?

Anonymous said...

Mimi,

after that, you have to post actual pictures of your cleavage so that we can do some proper thinking.

mimi
alternatively you could post a picture of your meat cleaver, of aldridge cleaver, or of a clear fridge.
though perhaps the divide theme might well be reflected through the words vs pictures and beautiful succinct couple-of-worder re one's (or another's) cleavidge such as:
'pseud tube boobs' or 'corner cuts' with appropriate suggestive imagery might hold the salivating pack at bay.
great work getting this art gallery site up by the way...

doc: no credit to me for getting the gallery up. By the time I'd made the suggestion File had sprung into action and Mouth had been working hard.
And please, draw a line under the cleavage. I wish now I'd never mentioned it. There'll be no photos, Offside. None at all.
Get back to work.

Anonymous said...

Mimi, you give with one hand, take back with the other. You tease, how do you draw a line under a slippery slope?

Anonymous said...

Offside: I hate to think what slippery slope you find yourself on. Have you relocated the floating taproom yet?

Anonymous said...

Working on it. Should take slighlty less time than building Wembley. And be suitably slippery.

Anonymous said...

Offside: work, work and work harder. We need a stadium now for our ramblings. Wembley, pah, we expect something far grander from you. Norman Foster-esque arches and flourishes, and we do expect you to contsruct this edifice in the blink of an eye. Naturally.
(I think there's a typo here, but just can't proof-read me own witterings.)

I guess this is the place to post ideas! I'm not able to illustrate this but a slogan idea none the less:

Off-topic,
Off-the-edge,
Un-published,
Un-usual,
On-life,
On-line.

Anonymous said...

Off-topic gets my vote. Or Off-tropic.

Anonymous said...

Who'd have thought it eh? Offside goes for Off-topic?
Mind you, I rather like that myself.

Anonymous said...

I'm coming up with a Pseud's Corner Pirates shirt... or not.

Is everyone sick of pirates already?

file said...

welcome honny and pastygobbly,

great slogans, and no, not tired of pirates, parrots or pippo

bring 'em on!
